My pile was a little out of control! And check out Lisa's hand pointing at my new color wheel! My bff Crystal actually found the color part and then I remembered seeing the base of it on the opposite side of the house! So now I have two, one for each of my aluminum trees.
Crystal is the best/worst estate sale partner for me. She finds TONS OF STUFF that I will like, so I end up buying so much! She ended up taking home a head to store one of her wigs on.
I love that little frenchie figure, and I just had to bring home that tiny muzzle, I don't know why! I keep finding poodle manuals at estate sales. My poodle collection is getting pretty awesome.
Anyway, the trout and cute bear plater will be in the booth too, but I'm keeping the hand holding the crown. How pretty!
Look at that poodle lamp! It works too, there is a little bulb in the body. I think Jamie handed it to me at the sale. I'm keeping that for sure! The thing with the green handle is a donut cutter. And how pretty is that blue fire king cup?
We picked up a few country records, a signed picture of Porter Wagoner, an old toy horse, and a cute Elvis photo magazine.
Speaking of Christmas, check out this hilarious toilet lid cover! The top has Santa looking normal and saying Ho Ho Ho! Then when you open the lid.....
And last but not least, I was so happy to find a little vintage Halloween noise maker! It is the first vintage Halloween thing I've ever owned!
I love that I accidentally photo bombed your wheel picture! You guys got such great stuff! Especially the wheel and the Halloween noisemaker.
ReplyDeleteYou find the best stuff and you're lucky to have great friends! I love the whale and the noisemaker is awesome!!! Why is Halloween stuff so hard to find?
ReplyDeletemy theory is because most of it was made to be disposable? i wish it was easier to find because i LOVE IT!
DeleteEek please e-mail me if you ever decide to part with that vintage photo book-- one of my collections is vintage photos of cats and people with cats!
ReplyDeleteYou're lucky that you got to dig before the public sale, so many wonderful finds. :)
we should talk about swapping photos. didn't you say you have some dog ones? i collect those, and i might be able to trade some of my cats away if i know they are going to a good home. though i do have one labeled as "king kong" on the back that is one of my favorite photos ever!
DeleteMy favorites are the whale and the scale... but the whale definitely wins...your posts are always so cute! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteif that whale doesn't sell in a month i'm going to bring him home! i'm trying to part with more things, but he is so cute!
DeleteYou found some GREAT stuff! And um, yeah...that whale is fabulous. Girl, I would have knocked someone down for a signed picture of my boyfriend, Porter. Wowee.
ReplyDeletehaha, i was so tempted to text you while i was digging but i didn't want to rub it in. haha. porter was just a dollar! i can't wait to finally set up my western guest room and hang him in a place of honor.
Deletewhat fun to dig through the pre-sale! Nothing better than no pressure from the lack of a crowd! Love the Halloween noise maker...I would have snagged that too.
ReplyDeleteit was so cool! i wish i could do it for every sale! haha
DeleteThe color wheel is an exciting find! Mine is falling apart but I love it on my aluminum tree.
ReplyDeletei have been wanting one so long! i can't wait to set it up!
DeleteThis is really cool. I love that whale! It's so NOT ugly.

ReplyDeletei'm pretty sure it was the first vintage halloween i've seen NOT locked in a display case. so exciting!
DeleteLove that poodle book! I actually trawled through 68 pages of vintage poodle things on etsy last night looking for things to add to my christmas list. Can you tell I love poodles?
ReplyDeleteWow, a private sale! That toilet seat cover is too kitschy, I've never seen one before. Good stuff for the booth for sure :->
ReplyDeleteWow I am so excited I found your blog after you commented on mine, I can tell you are after my own heart. I love vintage stuff to. (Though I have to be careful it does not get wrecked in a home with five dogs). Then Im Harry Potter obsessed and couldnt be a bigger nerd. I am sure going to be visiting your blog again

Thank Jamie for me too! That was sooo much fun. I forgot about those darling little mint hearts! We have to wear those like fo - real. What can we do to spruce them up? Put them on a string of pearls, perhaps?? I'm glad you got little horsey and i LOVE going to estate sales with you too! Because that way i can find awesome stuff but not have to leave it behind! okay, rambling. Oh yeah! Adrienne- you had a booth too, right? Sam told me about you! Well, this is weird now. I'm not sure how many people are seeing this.
