Well I'm off to North Carolina today! My team at work won a sales contest last year, so I get to go on a trip to the Gaia farm! It is on 250 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I'm flying for the first time in 5 years, and the first time alone! I'm trying not to be nervous! Here are some pictures from the Gaia website to show you some of the sites I will be seeing;
I'll be there for two full days. Apparently most of the food we will be eating will be grown there on the organic farm! I'm REALLY excited. I'm not sure how far along the different crops will be, but I'm REALLY hopping to see the Echinacea field in bloom like the pink fields in the middle. I know a few people who have gone before, and they all say I'm in for a once in a lifetime treat. We're going to tour the farm, swim in the creek, eat amazing food, learn about herbs, and hopefully not get a sunburn! Wish me luck! I won't know anyone there, so this will be my ultimate test on being more outgoing this year!
Have a great time! And hey - try this trick: You don't know anyone there and may never see them before so just be outgoing. Do what you want to do. Say what you want to say. Be your very true self. They won't know the difference. And if it helps, you don't seem nearly as shy as you think that you are.
