I'm in the middle of a 9 day work stretch so I haven't gotten to go out and do anything fun lately. So today I have some more snapshots from around our house.
The curved doorway from the kitchen to the dining room is one of my favorite things about our house. I wish all the doors were like that. It's hard to get a picture of it, but I've been trying to fill the kitchen walls with red things. Here is one side of the doorway. You can see my silly daruma collection on top of the cabinets too.
Here is my little collection of bull dog salt and pepper shakers, and a chippy tooth pick holder.
I finally found some vintage fake flowers to fill a few of my planters with. Thankfully the cats are not interested in them. How sweet is that mama and baby koala planter?Oh I am itching to get out and go somewhere! Thankfully we've got two little trips lined up soon. We're also trying to finalize where we're going to go for Travis' week off in the summer. I'm thinking either California or New England so far.
you have got such a wonderfully decorated house, of course im pretty sure that we have identical taste. with my number of dogs and my love of clothes i never get around to really collecting cool stuff for the house and around here it is so expensive. im very impressed that you arent even 30 and you have so much great stuff. ill be 35 next week and my house is no where near where i want it to be

ReplyDeletetravis is really lobbying for new england.
DeleteLove your house! Aqua/red is one of my favorite color combos, especially for a kitchen...and your collections are super-fun.
ReplyDeleteyes! i have to hold myself back or my whole house would be those colors. those were our wedding colors, and my blog colors (obviously, haha)
DeleteI love this!!! Your house is perfect and the arched doorway is awesome! Come to California!!!! It's so much fun out here and we can party wacky tacky style!
ReplyDeleteYour living room is SO delicious. I heart it bigtime.
ReplyDeleteI love it when you show pictures from your home. What is up with the two octopi? Are they vintage? I've never seen anything like that and I've pretty much seen it all. Cause I'm old, lol.
ReplyDeletemy best friend made them for me! she used to sell them on her etsy, but doesn't make them anymore.
DeleteAw too bad. They are so cute!
DeleteLove your style! My favorite is the mantel--just so awesome.
ReplyDeleteyour house is awesome.
ReplyDeleteI have always admired those kind of doorways like the one to your kitchen, lucky you! Your house is cute as a button. I really need to take a page from your book in learning how to "curate" all the knick-knacks. Your tiny little vignettes of ceramic koalas and pepper shakers and all manner of adorable things are just so perfect! Hope you get some time off from that schedule (9 day work week! Gad!), and have some free time to pick again soon! :)
ReplyDeleteI love all these photos from around your house. That sketch on the wall of you and your man as zombies is so rad.
ReplyDeleteI love the arched doorways and built in shelves! Houses with character and history are so beautiful.
