I need suggestions!

[source]

Travis and I are driving to Florida in February for my cousin's wedding and I need suggestions of stuff to do! We are going to be in Sanford for the wedding, and we're going to go to the Wizarding World of COURSE but I would love to know fun, weird, kistchy things that we shouldn't miss! Or places to eat. Or even just vague areas we should explore.

  1. I'm slim on Florida advice but you could try the map at Roadside America that lets you put in towns and have it tell you of any great roadside attractions nearby: http://www.roadsideamerica.com/map/about

They also have an I-Phone app that you can use on the road.

  2. I totally suggest Downtown Disney if you're going to be in Orlando anyway! It's only about 20 minutes from Universal and there is a sandwich shop there called Earl of Sandwich that we are obsessed with. It's fairly priced and totally delicious. Plus they have the Lego store and other cool stuff there.

  3. Oh also I don't know what days in Februrary but if it's between the 17th and 19th, you should come to Megacon because Tom Felton will be there!!!!

  4. I just LOVE your blog. I was just in Florida in Oct and we LOVED HP WORLD!!!! One place you have to eat at is Graffiti Junktion. It is a burger place so I am not quite sure how veg friendly it is but you can check out their menu on UrbanSpoon. Have fun!!!!

  5. I live in Tampa and worked my way through the Weird Florida book. There is a town called Cassadaga outside of Orlando that has the "devil's chair" in its cemetery. You could go to Kissimmee and see the sign for Xanadu which was advertised as the "Home of the Future" but got torn down a few years back. If you want to drive further along and visit Tampa you should stay in Ybor City, which aside from being a historic district and home to the World Capital of Cigars (ok, in the 30's)has a ton of great Cuban restaurants and a great vintage clothing store called LaFrance. There's Twistie Treat ice cream stands scattered about the state as well, as far as kitchy eating goes.
