One of my favorite things about spring is seeing all the pretty flowers bloom in my yard. A new addition this year is this beautiful pink plant that is randomly growing up through one of the shrubs in front of my porch. I love it!

Our lilac bush is in full effect.
These tulips didn't make an appearance last year, but I've got three this year! Maybe this fall I'll actually plant daffodils in this side bed.  (i've been saying that since we moved in, 2010!)
And my favorite, my pink dogwood is blowing me away!
Just gorgeous.
Of course, this is how I'm spending this beautiful day, sitting on the couch with my ladies, watching Mad Men on netflix. I finally started watching it, and now I'm hooked! I'll do my best to go out later. Phyllis makes it pretty hard though.

  2. Oh, lilacs are dreamy! That first one - the pink one - is an azalea bush. We have an almost twin on the front of our house. Oh god, Mad Men. The first two seasons were SO addictive. You're in for the long haul, sister. Tell Phyllis that there is a dog episode but it doesn't end well so when Duck Phillips gets involved, she should go outside and play.

  4. I love dogwoods, I have a whiteish light pink one right in front of my bedroom window and I looooove it. If I remember I'll send you some of my daffodil bulbs in the fall, I'm digging mine up since I have soooo many and I won't replant all of them. They are old so they bloom HUGE.

  5. I was late to the Mad Men party as well - I wish I wasn't all caught up now, it's so hard to wait a week until the next episode - or until the end of the season. Yo dogwoods are looking great - I have a few white ones in my yard, but they're not hot pink, so, not as awesome.

Pee-s: Momma is doing some spring cleaning and found some old fabric that her mother had. I know how much you love old fabrics and thought you might like them. Please email at itstiffytime at yahoo dot com and let me know if you are interested in them. I can have Momma send some photos so you can see what they are all about.
