Here are the things we bought while on our little trip! Of course I had to get that walnut skunk. And I can't resist those old kid hangers. You know, just in case!
There were almost no vintage photos for sale, but I found this great one of a taxidermy bear!
I have been wanting one of these souvenir dream pets for a while! I REALLY want a Merry Christmas one, but I love this guy! It is missing the 's' but you still get the idea.Travis said "You really don't want this little dog?" I answered "It's twenty bucks!" Then he pointed out that it was just two and I couldn't resist! Look at his jaunty little beret!
This mug isn't in the greatest shape, but it is a souvenir of Opryland! It was a theme park in Nashville when I was a kid. Travis has fond memories of it too, and his dad worked there, so we had to get it!
Some sweet poodle cards, and a little orphaned peppy shaker. I have a single salty one that is similar.
A sweet little bowling pin! I think the pearl ball really completes it.
And last but not least, some great barrettes! Look at those fish! And why are there donkeys in the same pack? What a pair! I can't wait to wear them!
Very cute finds! Love the barrettes and retro bowling pin! You're the pearl ball really makes it:)
ReplyDeleteI WANT. THOSE. BARRETTES. And the Ozark hound-dog dream pet, what a cute-i-tude. So glad you guys had a good time (AND made a good haul)! :)

ReplyDeletethose barrettes are too sweet! and those canasta cards are brilliant! I love canasta- if you don't know how to play you should definitely learn! (if only to use those amazing cards haha)
ReplyDeleteI used to have hangers like that, I think there's still a couple around.
ReplyDeleteYou find the best stuff! I can't help but love the hang-dog expression on that dream pet's face!
ReplyDeleteOMG those barrettes are the cutest. I also love the beret dog. He was totally worth the $2.

I wanna know the person that owner that bowling broach. It's so snazzy
ReplyDeleteFun finds as usual, I didn't even know souvenir dream pets existed, I'm actually from The Ozarks (Arkansas side!) so am amused that you found one from my region. :) I'm sad I never got to visit Opryland, it looks like it was such a fun & kitsch park.
ReplyDeleteGlad you guys had a good time and found some cute trinkets. Those barrettes are so cute! What a strange and awesome find!
ReplyDeleteLove the taxidermy bear photo! That's got to be Cherokee!
