First Estate Sale of the Year!

I went to my first estate sale of 2014 this morning! There haven't been any good looking ads until now. This one suckered me in with the key words vintage, toys, monkey collection! Haha. The monkey collection turned out all to be modern stuff but it was still fun. Isn't this a cute little house?
I loved the box of this Bingo game, but I don't need another bingo set. I love the boys face on the right. So disappointed!
I did find a handmade sock monkey! I love how they look. Especially with googly eyes.
It HURT ME to not bring home this stack of towels. I LOVE vintage floral towels but I have a bunch already and Travis doesn't like to use them (they are all pretty small.) What a pretty bundle. I took a photo so it was easier to leave them.
Here is the little pile I came home with.
I got a cute circus themed Old Maid deck.
I love it! I actually have a collection of Old Maid decks, I should do a post about it!
I can't ever resist vintage craft supplies. It was mostly about those spun cotton heads! And old pipe cleaners are so perfect.
There was a HUGE stack of cute vintage fabric. I was good and just brought home these two.
I got a little stack of kids books.
This little record is an original cast recording of the Sesame Street song. Don't you love that photo in the inside?
And last but not least, I got two games! I love Battleship but only had an electronic Star Wars version. I'm excited to play this with Travis soon.
The other one I hadn't heard of, but once I opened the box I knew I had to bring it home!
There you go! A nice little haul for the first sale of the year!

  1. That sale kicked butt! If I'd been there, I would have bought all of the same stuff except that I would have for sure snatched up those towels. Those prices seem really good too!

  3. OH MY DAYS that looked like a brilliant sale!!! I WANT those towels too!! You showed amazing restraint not bringing them. I rarely find them now, but I LOVE them. Yes they are small though.. Great for the kids!
Old pipe cleaners are beautiful. I always wish I could find a stash, as the modern ones are nasty.. Great find!

  8. That is a sweet little house and you got some awesome stuff. I love those doll heads and faces! I know I belabor the point, but sales out here are NEVER like that - it's always the worst mid-80's stuff and nothing else. This haul looks like it makes for a Happy Valentine's Day!!!

  9. I LOVE those floral towels! Also I'm so envious! So many Nashville area estate sales begin on Thursdays and I'm stuck at work! I lurk them all the time but I've only been to one! I need to go more often, I always love seeing people's finds!

  10. I am so glad you got that fabric!!! When I saw the monkey my eyes went straight to the fabric he was laying on and I said to myself "I sure hope she bought the fabric that monkey's lying on!". You got some great stuff. We haven't had any real good ones this year. Can't wait for yard sale season to begin!
