I didn't bring a lot of stuff home from the market this month. I was excited to find these three Junior Deluxe Editions! Especially since the girl in the booth let me have all 3 for 5 bucks! I LOVE the cover of the Myths book!
I also got this little pine cone gnome. I think I have six now, I'll have to see when I get all my decorations out. I hadn't seen these guys before this year, and I love them!
I got this pile of yarn at the Goodwill Outlet. I can't resist a googly eye! Or a silly Santa!
When Travis wanted to go to the outlet after the flea market I wasn't into it. Then I found these! I'm going to rehab them, but how great are the silver leaves and mercury pics and sugar bells!I got a pile of vintage pictures of course. I always find the best ones at the flea market! I also found this cute paper cut! I can't wait to get a frame for it. And here are a few of my favorites from the photos I picked up:
Creepy double exposure.
Look at this! Class scrap! It looks like that means the whole class wrestles. Have you seen anything like it before?
Here is Pat and his friend in their skirts. They look like they're having a good time.
Charlot and Jimmy look like they are having a lot of fun on their ponies! I love the stamp on the back of the photo too. What a great logo!
A birthday party complete with a perfect princess cake and paper hats!
And I'll leave you with this guy, so proud of his tiny little fish!
The little pine cone gnome looks old, he's cute!
ReplyDeleteThat class scrap is a real dog pile bit of madness! I would love to know more about that. I love that double exposure - ghostly.
ReplyDeletei tried to do some research on it but couldn't find anything! i wish it was a bigger picture too!
DeleteI made myself drop some yarn Santa's today. My hand had a little twitchy reaction to puttin em back. Love them b&w's :)
ReplyDeletei can't resist a yarn santa. if there are a sequins involved? even more irresistible!
DeleteThat is a great paper cut out thing. You always find such good stuff!
ReplyDeleteLove the old cars in that last pic.
ReplyDeletesometimes the background stuff is even better than the focus of the picture!
DeleteYou find the best old pictures! The pincone elfs/gnomes are very expensive on Ebay. Shiney Brite made a set of six, and then there are others that are a bit older from Germany. Aren't they wonderful? I have two full boxed sets. I can picture YOU getting a little addicted to them as well!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Rae!
Erica :)
i really love them. i can't believe i hadn't even seen any before a few months ago!
DeleteThe photo with the Fox Company logo brings back so many memories! I'm originally from the San Antonio area and my family has so many old photos with that logo on the back and that same border around the photo.
ReplyDeletehow cool!
DeleteThe tiny fish made me giggle
ReplyDeleteAll your finds are fantastic but the books are my favorite and I like that princess party photo

Love your pinecone gnome!! He's got such a sweet face ~love to see a pic of your entire collection!
ReplyDeleteOh that "Myths every child should know" has my attention! Great finds!
ReplyDeleteGreat GREAT pictures! If Pat White is the guy on the left, I think I have a residual-from-my-childhood crush on him based on his resemblance to Danny Kaye. Also, the double exposure...what a pip of a find. Good work, ma'am!
ReplyDeleteThat papercut is gorgeous! It's going to look so beautiful framed.
ReplyDeleteright? travis didn't think it was very cool. and only a dollar!
DeleteOh boy! I love the silhouette and all of the photographs! I would kill for the one of Charlotte & Jimmy!!!
ReplyDeletei can't resist kids on ponies! i wish my parents had rented one for my birthday when i was a kid!
DeleteLove the vintage beach bag and the christmas bells! The creepy double exposure photo is intriguing.

ReplyDeletewouldn't you love to see a big panoramic of it? its killing me not to know more about it!
DeleteOh my gosh, those photos!! How beautiful and creepy. I love seeing old black and white photos and imaginging what the family were like
ReplyDeleteLove all the old photos. The one of the two little kids on the horses is adorable. The double exposure one creeps me out the more I look at it.
