The Nashville Flea!

It was pouring down rain this morning, but that couldn't keep us away from the flea market! It was probably good because it's been super hot and humid lately. With the rain it was just humid. Here are some of the things I saw:
 I always love kokeshi dolls.
The prettiest vintage dish booth. So enticing, so expensive.
I felt sorry for the outside vendors trying to keep their stuff dry. It didn't always work.
I LOVED this show when I was little. I bet it doesn't hold up at all. And this game looked terrible!
 Isn't this a pretty lamp?
And isn't this a CREEPY lamp? It was fuzzy.
Look at this perfect bird cage! The deer!
This little table top juke box was neat. I would love to have one to hang on my wall.
Gosh, I love those old horse trophies so much. Someday when I have my much talked about wild west room maybe I'll have a whole shelf of them.
This costume is so creepy! That mask!
This vendor had bubble gum cards from so many random things! Like Robin Hood: Price of Thieves, Dune, and The Rocketeer. I almost got a pack of Star Trek cards hoping for some Spock, but the vendor never came over.
Even with the rain it was still pretty crowded.
I'm kind of regretting not getting this plate. It is so pretty! And I love the squirrel on it.
I was also tempted by this tiny Ghost Town pennant. I went there when I was a kid and loved it.
I almost bought this, but we only had a little cash and I was scared of spending too much at once. We ended up having about 30 bucks left over so I should have gone back!
More trophies! I'll show you what I picked up tomorrow. Not much, but some pretty cute stuff!

  1. So many trophies and salt and pepper shakers this time, can't wait to see what found its way home with you! We're having similar weather here in Chicago, bursts of rain breaking up boiling hot, humid weather. Obviously neither keeps me from the flea markets either!

  2. I need to go with you guys next month! Maybe we will take Jamie!

  3. It looks like soooo much fun! Lots of good things there! Our flea market was terrible today. Just junky stuff, and NOT the good kind. Hoping the one tomorrow is better!
Can't wait to see what you found.
    Erica :)

  4. If you didn't get the game, how are you going to "take pollution down to zero?!?!!" Those dog planters are incredible!!!

  5. That Captain Planet game looks so rad.

  6. i want that Fresh Eggs sign! i'm not even normally into old rusty things but something about it just speaks so me! (uhh, probably my love of eggs!)

  7. I almost bought that $15 bird lamp! I had to physically restrain myself. So rainy this weekend but didn't you get a kind of thrill being stuck under one if the pavillions in the rain? I don't think I've been outside in that kind of weather in a long time. Looking forward to seeing what you got!!

  8. Gah, that bird lamp! And those trophies! I love the one with the businessman and the clock on it. And those vases with the dogs are incredible! I keep missing the good flea markets. I went for the first time in four years last month and it totally sucked. Are Fridays just the worst days to go? It seemed like it wasn't hitting it at all.

  9. So many old games. That flea market looks dangerous for my wallet. Great pictures!

  10. I wish we had cool flea markets like that here

  11. So jealous of the amazing flea markets you have in your area! I'm visiting NC around the holidays and roadtripping to Savahanna and I am really hoping I will get a chance to check out one of these amazing southern flea markets!

  12. Awwe, Captain Planet! I'd give anything to live near a flea market like this, I'd be broke, but whatever. Just like monthly "fleas" here where a common Pyrex bowl is $20... they are held in the trendy areas of the city.

  13. Ghost Town is where I went on my first roller coaster that went upside down. The Red Devil!

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave me a comment!
