Here is a lot of what I picked up at the three sales I went to last weekend.
The swallow print and the lamp where from that awesome old house. The lamp shade is terrible, but i loved the starbursts on the actual lamp. I got a new potato masher with a starburst handle, and one of those cute red check name mugs. I didn't take a closer picture of the crewel, but it has metallic gold thread on it, and I love it!
I couldn't believe the dog paint by numbers was left on the second day of the sale! And for just two bucks! The roses are made of velvet and I love the pale pink/mustardy combo.
A made in Japan santa mug (I can never pass those up!) and a silly jar with a felt face.
There was a lot of great wall decor in that house. A pretty pearly mermaid, some owls, and some chalkware fish! i really wish I could hang things on my bathroom wall. The little Christmas guy is a spun head on a matchbox that is covered with felt to look like a book.
An unused retro photo album, some vintage frames, and one of my favorite book finds ever!
I picked it up just for the outside.
The inside is so good though! It is mostly these weird rhymes and pictures. I was taking forever to pick a page to show you, I finally just opened it up randomly because every page is so good! I love that grasshopper. And the man fishing with a light on his huge nose.
A beautiful crewel pillow, and some velvety fabric!
New jewelry! I can't resist a dog pin, or a poodle necklace made of beads!
Ummm, I'm not sure what is going on here, but I like it.
I love these striped cups! The bag was unopened! I really need to have a party.
I actually left this set behind the first day, and came back for it. What was I thinking? You put your mashed potatoes in the big one! And gravy in the little one! Or maybe potato soup in the big one and cheese or something in the little. I can't wait for Friendsgiving this year!
I'll stop here for now. Travis and I are going out to eat, then going to meet some people for a friend's birthday! Even though all i really want to do right now is lay on the couch and watch Drag Race and eat cake. It is hardly fall and I feel like hibernating already!

Super awesome stuff! Could you lean an old door or something against your bathroom wall and then hang something up on it?
ReplyDeletethat is actually a great idea! my bathroom is TINY though.
DeleteThere is just something about those potatoes :)
ReplyDeleteThat lamp! I almost got that...picked it up and put it down because I have literally three lamps with no shades and I cannot buy more until I find them shades and get them in the booth. I am glad it found a good home! Great finds--especially the velvet roses, too cute.

ReplyDeleteOMG. Too much awesomeness in one post. The owl decor and vintage photo album are my favorites. But then again, how often do you see potato-themed serving dishes!? Gotta love those too.
