My 26th Birthday

i had a pretty good birthday yesterday. travis made me a really good breakfast (toast with almond butter and fresh strawberries on top) and gave me presents. He got me a really cute martha stewart apron, tina fey's book, how to train your dragon (have you seen it? it's so freaking cute) and beauty and the beast. he also made me some hilarious bookmarks that I'll have to take some pictures of to show you.

we went to the flea market and got some really good stuff! like this gorgeous paint by number:

cute rabbits

silly dog salt shaker.

doilies and hankies.

this is from a junk shop i went to last week. you hang it on a plant!

adorable!

speaking of adorable.

travis brought me home burritos from my favorite place, then we went to my parents house for combination easter lunch/my birthday. once we got home crystal and marc came over and we ate raspberry cake and watched a movie. it was really low key but it was kinda what i wanted this year

  1. Oh! I have one of those hanging cats! I have had it for years and I don't even remember where it came from. Too funny! and I love the rabbits!

  2. Those rabbits have very long legs!

I like the kitty plant ornament, though I think I'll always have enough real cats climbing through my plants to have one of those...but maybe!

Toast with almond butter and strawberries sounds so amazing. I want some right now.

  7. i know what you mean about the real thing (deer head), i could never get a real one, oh no. but all the substitutes around (plastic, wood, metal i hear) are just great substitutes, aren't they? i have waited yonks for this one to appear, so take courage, you will find yours...
you guys are really good thrift travelers, for : i love your paint-by-numbers find, for its naievety and softness. when you have a close up look, it's all patches of colours that flow close to one another.
    that hare is stunning!!!
    the yellow rabbits are fantastic.
the silly dog shaker looks spacey.
wow, that was all really lovely!
