Pugs in the Park

We finally made it back to our local pug meet up group after almost a year! The girls were very excited about it. You can't take the crate to the car before you are ready to go because they will FLIP OUT once they know they get to go somewhere.
We met this dude, who had just gotten shaved. Look at this skinny tail! And his rolls were so visible. So so precious! I think his name was Mack.
Emma always hides under her mom and chases away any other pugs who come near her.
Louie. He was a breeder dog before he got adopted, and is really shy. I want to pick him up so bad!
Little miss Priscilla. Our usual spot is still under construction, so we ended up in the mud.
Mack again. There was a white pug there too! But I never got a good picture. There was a sweet black girl named Bunk, and two pregnant pugs! And two 6 month old puppies, one with a pink nose! I love getting to pet all the pugs.
A non-pug friend. I guess that is allowed. Haha.
Travis really wanted to try shaving Priscilla, so we did it when we got home. Look at how apprehensive she is.
So fun! She didn't mind, except when it got to her neck. The buzzing was loud.We had a guard on it of course. It is the one Travis uses to cut his hair.
She had to run it off as soon as we released her. Look at that tail!

Here is our little prized catch! She looks pretty cute. More white, and you can see her spots.

Pugs In The Park

I took an unintended break from the internet the last few days. had to see harry potter a handful of times, and was reading the hunger game series like crazy (finished last night. so addicting!). now i've got soooo many entries to read on my blog reader and lots of photos to edit. but i love it so i'm not complaining.

I missed the last few pugs in the park meet ups, so i was determined to go this month. So determined that i showed up an hour early by accident and was bumming out that no one else came. The pugs liked being at the park anyway. It has been so hot they haven't left the house except for potty breaks in what seems like forever.

phyllis with her tongue out KILLS ME.

once i figured out no one was going to show up for at least 30 more minutes i put the girls back in my car for a bit of air conditioning and we went to sonic for a 9:30 am grilled cheese and huge fruit slush. when we got back to the park there were 5 other pugs there and i had fun petting and holding them all! I was feeling shy though and didn't take any pictures. Phyllis was acting like a puppy and chasing a little boy pug named Wesley around. It was really really cute. Not a big crowd (lots of the regulars are on vacation) and next month will probably be sparse too because of the heat. i can't wait for the fall!

Pugs in the Park: March Meetup

the march pugs in the park was the best meetup i've been too yet. the weather was fantastic so a lot of people showed up, including a TINY four month old pug puppy! i didn't get any pictures of her because she was CRAZY and wouldn't sit still for a second. but i definitely cuddled the little darling every time she ran by me.

phyllis loves all the attention she gets at the meetups. pugs in general get a lot of attention if you take them out, but a three legged pug gets even more. she has definitely forced me to be less shy.

the lady hugging the pugs is so funny. i have no idea what her name is (her dogs are bella and oreo). she is really into meetup and kisses all over every dog there. i really like her.

google poses majestically on the rock wall.

phyllis isn't quite so stunning. haha.

jasper peeking around travis' hairy leg.

ernie is travis' favorite.

we retreated to the shade for a while because it was too hot in the sun for the pugs. that the only thing i do no like about pugs. they can't handle very warm temperatures so you have to keep them home most of the summer.

Pugs in the Park

have i said how much i love that the pugs in the park group meets every single month? we missed february because it was so dang cold! but we were back for the march meetup. i documented my day but most of the pictures sucked for some reason! but i'll post some of the cute puggy babies.

good morning! check out that moldy belly. crystal likes to call her tree stump.

pug meet up calls for dog outfits. yep, i'm that person.

i took a whole bunch of her in different things, including her sombrero and gryffindor hat. but they were blurry. boo.

pink dress it is. it's spring after all.

on the way travis realizes his shirt smells like cat pee! sick! we stop at target so he can buy a new one.

i stay in the car with phyllis. i'm always scared if i leave her in the car someone will steal her. even though travis says no one wants a 3 legged dog except us.

sweet little bow.

where the pugs are. this is before everyone arrive obviously.

travis always has to mess with the fire.
this little kid came to help him and said very seriously "it's up to us." cute.

somone brought them a cake
(this was after valentines, that was just the theme. i'm not THAT late in posting these)

see the pregnant pug! the organizer of the group has about two litters a year. i talked to her about getting a puppy after we lost rose but it was going to be too long of a wait. lucky my. and lucky phyllis.

jenna and jasper.

roxie is blind in one eye. and shy. she begs for you to pet her then ducks when you reach down.
she is so cute.

speaking of cute!

that's ernie! he tongue is always out! ahh!
after about an hour and a half we are on our way.
phyllis tells everyone goodbye.
we stop by the pet shop.
to get cat food. i feel bad that we aren't getting phyllis anything since she is with us. but she doesn't like toys, and she's not into treats, so there was nothing to get. she probably didn't care.

home. find scampi in the laundry basket.

think about cleaning up. decide against it.

watch movies with scampi instead.
