I almost forgot!

When I did my flea market finds post I forgot to include my favorite find of the day! This little nobody loves me pug has been taunting me! The antique mall where I have a case has three of them up on top of the refrigerator behind their front counter. I have asked a few times, but they are not for sale! I NEVER find vintage pug stuff (it is probably a bulldog but it looks puggy enough for me), so I'd been searching for one of these online with no luck. Then at the flea market I spotted this one on a table for just 4 bucks! I snatched him up immediately!
It is made of chalk, with a really shiney glaze over the color. I haven't had much luck finding anything about it online. I found a drawing of one. And a listing for one from 1917 (that was closed or I would buy it!) They remind me of Phyllis so much! She has the saddest little face.
I was going to try and do poodles only on my hutch in the dining room, but little nobody loves me puppy is up there for now. Isn't it awesome when you unexpectedly find something you have been looking for! Especially when it is just a couple of bucks! Now I just need a Christmas tree color wheel to materialize...

  1. I think it's fitting that a single pug among poodles is saying nobody loves me.. I think the hutch is the perfect place for him! Supah cute.

  5. Love him! And love him with the poodles too! I think that I have an extra color wheel. I'll check when I start digging out the garage. I sound like some kind of hoarder. I swear, I'm not. I just....well, have too much stuff and I'm senile and that's a bad combo.

  6. for some reason it reminds me of this 60s creepy big-eyed child statue I saw at Pre to Post Modern that said "i mith you" on it. I am still kicking myself for not getting that. a statue with a lisp!!!!
